“Wet Feet” Splashes onto the Stage at Union Theatre: A Hilarious Journey of Self-Acceptance and Sexual Awakening

The Union Theatre is thrilled to be bringing the upcoming premiere of “Wet Feet,” a brand new comedy play by emerging playwright Michael Neri.

Set in the underground world of gay saunas, “Wet Feet” takes audiences on a laugh-out-loud journey of self-acceptance and discovery.

The play will run from Tuesday 18th June, with previews on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th, and will continue until Saturday 29th June. This production is perfectly timed to align with Pride Month, offering a celebratory and poignant look at the LGBTQ+ experience.

“Wet Feet” is based on true events from the playwright’s life, capturing the challenges of growing up under the shadow of Section 28 and the humour of his sexual awakening and sexual endeavours. The play delves into the aftermath of living under this oppressive legislation while also sharing fun and heartwarming stories about coming out, finding yourself and navigating sexuality.

After its original concept run in 2023 sold out and garnered phenomenal feedback, “Wet Feet” is set to make a big splash at the Union Theatre. Audiences can expect a show that not only entertains but also resonates deeply with those familiar with the LGBTQ+ journey.

About the Union Theatre: Located in the heart of London, the Union Theatre is renowned for showcasing innovative and compelling new works. Dedicated to supporting emerging talent, the Union Theatre provides a platform for fresh voices in the theatrical world.
